Structural design guide to the ACI building code
Published in Unknown Binding by Van Nostrand Reinhold Co. ()
Average review score:

Excellent design guide to keep you current with the codeI have the third edition of the book published in 1985 and I have used the book to help defang the ACI Code. Sometimes the actual code is difficult to interpret. This book distills the code into manageable portions which allows safe and proper design. It's too bad that there are not more recent editions to the book since the code has significantly changed since the third edition was published.

Structural Design Guide to the Aisc (Lrfd) Specification for Buildings
Published in Hardcover by Kluwer Academic Publishers (August, 1996)
Average review score:

The Essential Steel Design and ReferenceIf you design steel members and connections this book is an absolute necessity. It contains the standard AISC member properties, as well as standard specifications for connections. Most importantly, Vol I includes the complete LRFD design specification(s) (1993) along with 500 pages of detailed notes carefully explaining each section of the LRFD design method. I found the notes and design examples very useful, thorough and easy to follow in actual practice. AISC of course provides the same extensive design charts that were used in ASD, as well as expanded appendices for design practice and commentary for this "new" method. The only drawback is the typical supplement of errata for this printing.

Structural Glass
Published in Paperback by Routledge mot E F & N Spon (15 February, 2001)
Average review score:

In depth information about structural glassPeter Rice is undeniably one of the greatest structural engineers in history. This being so, one would expect that his writings would be at a level far above most people's heads. In this book that is simply not the case. Important and necessary information is presented in depth simply, but without over simplifying.
Quite an interesting book, especially for young architects and architecture students.

Tanar of Pellucidar
Published in Paperback by Ace Books (March, 1985)
Average review score:

Tanar of PellucidarAlthough Edgar Rice Burrough's style can get predictable at times, he can come up with some literary gems such as the first few Tarzan novels and (if he had just foregone the "sequals") "the Land that Time Forgot". "Tanar of Pellucidar", along with "Escape on Venus" stand out for their simple, straightforward observations (often humerous) of human nature as expressed through the practices of various societies. Even if you aren't a Burroughs fan, these two titles I recommend for any lover of good fiction.

Tarzan
Published in Audio Cassette by Soundelux Audio Pub (October, 1993)

Some Disney music is boring; this is not.I'm anxious to see this new animated '90s Tarzan on the big screen. You gotta have this book if you own the soundtrack. I'm immediately buying it when it comes out.

The Tarzan Collection
Published in Audio Cassette by B & B Audio Inc (15 November, 2002)
Average review score:

Tarzan CollectionThis is a great way for a novice Tarzan fan to actually read the original story written by Burroughs. Even though the collection is not a complete set (i.e., does not include all of the Tarzan books), it definitely gives the reader the complete view of Tarzan's world as Burroughs created it (which is nothing like the Disney version of it). I truly enjoyed these books as much as any of the others that Burroughs produced.

Tarzan of the apes

Average review score:

the amazing art of burne hogarthif you have followed the career of burne hogarth one of the most awesome exponents of the art of figure drawing, you would find that this album"Tarzan of the apes" represents a landmark, this book was drawn many years after he stopped drawing tarzan for the newspapers. he had put a phenomenal amount of work in each frame of this book .Anyone who has read his dynamic series of books will realize that this book is a very good example of what sort of work you can produce if you follow the principles outlined by him . burne hogarth was a michaelangelo in the field of comic book art.Sadly this great artist and teacher is not amongst us any more.

Tarzan of the Movies (Citad)
Published in Paperback by Lyle Stuart (September, 1975)
Average review score:

The Definitive Chronicle of the Apeman's Swing to the Screen"Essential" and "outstanding" only begin the description of this book. The author obviously loves not only the Tarzan of the screen, but of Burrough's books as well. Photos from the movies on virtually every page, yet thoughtfully and thoroughly textual, as well. We see the hero's beginning in Burrough's (up to that time) disappointing life, rapidly emerging and taking hold of the public's imagination as the most wildly popular multimedia character of the times. Yet the more successful Tarzan became on screen, the further Hollywood took the character away from what Burroughs created. Essoe shows an amazing appreciation for the silent movie art form, given the 1968 writing of this book. He takes Tarzan's movie journey from Elmo Lincoln all the way to the (then) present, never skipping a film or TV effort. Particularly enjoyable is the coverage of the 1930's, when Johnny Weissmuller, Buster Crabbe, and even Herman Brix battled it out at the box office for rival studios (guess who wins?). The making of each film, Burrough's reaction to it, and the stories of the actors and actresses are all covered without ever slipping into drudgery. Also appreciated are the postscripts as to what each Tarzan actor went on to after hanging up the loincloth. I cannot tell you how many times I have reread this book from cover to cover. It also makes a great coffee table book. I have never seen a better treatment of this character, nor of any other.
